Illini in the Pros (Basketball)

haven't seen this discussed here but Mn acquired Ayo's Bird rights with the trade.

assuming they view this as a championship window they might be willing to push into luxury tax to do what it takes to resign Ayo

If we are talking about bird rights, we probably need to bring in an expert on bird law

Honestly wonder if AK and Mark knew the bulls are a disaster and on the way out. They most certainly sucked at their job but they traded everyone to a playoff contender not for the best package. Literally everyone they traded is in the playoffs without a first round pick. And now Billy is gone. Very strange.

I know it isn't the most efficient style, but there is just something so pretty about a great midrange game.

Was going to say, none of those shots are allowed in Brad's offense now!

Ayo and Shannon on the court at the same time for the first time this playoffs!

According to my limited research, here's the few times two former Illini have been on the court together in the NBA playoffs:

• 2020: Meyers Leonard and Kendrick Nunn (Heat)
This one's debatable lol

• 2007 First Rd, 2008 2nd Rd: Deron Williams (Jazz) vs Luther Head (Rockets)

• 1994 Eastern Conf Semis, 1995 ECF: Derek Harper (Knicks) vs Nick Anderson (Magic)

• 1955: John Kerr and Wally Osterkorn (Syracuse Nationals)
Has anyone heard of these guys?
