So we are pursuing Nasir Anderson. Is the thought that his shooting can be improved since it looks like he starting playing basketball seriously recently. Very high ceiling in the paint. Draws a lot of attention and dishes well. 3s and FTs need a lot of work. Isn't the type of guy we've gone after recently.

Speaking of Nasirsā€¦. Is Underwood holding a roster spot for Nasir Rankin? Last I heard he was told he could play both football and basketball. That is, of course, a very tall order, but heā€™d have to have one of the 15 roster spots available for that even be a possibility.

Iā€™ve seen reports he is 6-8 now and his body has obviously filled out more maybe 210-215 now.

I think Thursday we got a little bit of a tease from @DB11Headband , @Indy Illini Fan , and @illini0440 aboutā€¦ something. Was that about 5 for 5 smoke or a possible portal add? Has anyone heard anything further?

Thread is slowing down and that makes me a bit sad šŸ˜” . lol I know the hot takes were irritating for some but man the drama was exciting! lol. Anything to keep discussing our boys in O&B.

I asked the same thing a few weeks ago but got no response. I don't see how it is feasible to play both sports in this day and age. Looking at this past year, the Music City Bowl was on Dec. 30. By then, the basketball team had played 14 games. I don't know how you would manage that overlap. On the other hand, I would love to see Tywan Cox join the track team after the football season. He ran a 46.29 four hundred meter in high school last year (and a 45.14 split in the 1600 M relay). To put that in perspective, 46.29 would have earned him 6th place in the B10 meet last year.
