If we lost in the first weekend, the Coaching Carousel thread would have been on fire. The Elite 8 run from two years ago would have been justified from some as an outlier end result, and there would be a very vocal minority calling for a new coaching staff. Heck, prior to the tourney this year there was some negativity flowing through that thread.

The run to the Final Four will end that nonsense for a good while (hopefully allowing Brad to retire from this position a number of years down the road). There is no understating how program-defining the last few weeks have been for the program -- we have gone from top-tier but not getting the final results (NCAAT related) to top-tier title contenders moving forward.

You will always have this group of people. They point out tactical errors made by the coach(es) as if no other coach screws up.

The fact of the matter is that every single coach makes mistakes, including the all-time greats.

If you just focus on the negatives for your team's coaches (which there always are), you will always be dissatisified and think you'd be better off with a new guy.

That happened on this board after pretty much every loss this season. It happened just one season after the E8 run when we failed to make the second weekend the next year. And it'll probably happen again at some point. I bet a lot of us can accurately predict who will be leading that charge, who will be following it, and what they'll be saying.

Good for Kylan. He is a better player than he showed at the end of last season. The nursing the hand injury was clearly affecting his shooting, confidence, and aggression.

I still don't think Andej is leaving for 2nd round money.

Does he want to go play in from of 6 dozen people somewhere like Grand Rapids or Sioux Falls, or compete for a Championship at a packed State Farm Center?

Easy choice.

I agree 100%. I sure wish he could have came back, but totally understand why he didn't. It sure won't be the same with Keaton not running the show.
