Thank you for this! I truly enjoyed it.

He got a lot better defensively later on in the year though, that's an underrated reason we got better in the tournament.I don't understand why some many are taking offense to the commentary that he's unathletic. It has to be taken into context. Compared to literally every last person on this board, Keaton would athletically dismantle us.
Compared to every other 2 guard in the NBA, no, he doesn't have that gifted explosiveness. To not have one college dunk is pretty extraordinary, especially against teams like Southern U, LIU, Colgate, Penn, etc. You'd figure he would have stuffed one on a meaningless breakout up 35 at the 15 minute mark of the second half.
Keaton is a crafty, nifty player, who can shoot the eyes out. He's going to be a multimillionaire with that skill set.
People have a bad habit of associating athleticism solely will offense. IF Keaton is going to have a major pain point early, it's going to be defensively. All of those highlights of him getting his inside shoulder past the defender and finishing is what was happening to him on the other end. His lateral quickness and lower body strength have to improve. He's also going to be a target to be ISO 'd and posted up.
He's such a young, raw talent. I just hope that wherever he goes, they take the time to actually develop him to succeed. The Clippers or Kings....at least the weather would be nice.
Not to nitpick, but there not all of those were against high major defenders. I mean, Northwestern was in there...
Anybody on Purdue who doesn't answer Wagler.... I don't know what to tell you.
Yep. The kid just turned 19 in February. His body still likely has a lot of natural filling out to do. There is no question he will put in the work. The stats point to top NBA talent.
3 point shooting 40% -elite
Turn over rate - 10.6% to 12.4% - elite
2.3 to 2.8 assist-to-turnover rate - elite especially on a team that stressed isolation scoring reducing total assists
The only thing he’s missing is the physical strength needed to dislodge defenders. Two more years of weight training is all he needs
We, okay fair enough *I*, spend a lot of time complaining about how everything is worse now. And it is.Wagler at 6, Boswell 56th and Stoj at 64 on the latest CBS post combine rankings. We could see Boz drafted..

Boswell is a graduating senior, but the NBA teams have to realize just how young he still is in comparison to other upperclassmen. Many of those were held back a year in grade or high school to give them an advantage and then didn't go early so some could be two years or more older than Boz. Though considering he looks like a grown @$$ man, they could miss that. Hope he get his name called - he deserves it for how he took KJ and KW under his wing and helped them to the league (have to believe his support helped them a lot).Boswell will need to take the Jordan Goodwin path to the NBA. Really focus on being a physical defender and shoot the 3 at a good enough clip to find a spot.
Crazy the top 10 are ALL college freshman. There’s gonna be a lot of instant impact upperclassmen that fall to some good teams. Thinking Thunder probdbly draft a guy like Yaxel.
Anyone seen Ayo lately? Definitely not skinny anymoreYep. The kid just turned 19 in February. His body still likely has a lot of natural filling out to do. There is no question he will put in the work.
With NIL bringing over so many euros, are draft and stash guys going to be a thing anymore? The later Boswell lasts into the 2nd round, the less likely I think he gets picked. Those are still prime positions for teams to pick draft 'n stash guys.
That's because he still works with Fletch.Anyone seen Ayo lately? Definitely not skinny anymore
Don't love seeing Andrej in mocks. Still makes no sense to go when he can come back for more money and play himself into a 1st rounder to make more long term.Brand new ESPN mock still has Keaton at 5
Andrej at 50 and Boswell at 58.
Wagler:
"Combine measurements
Height without shoes: 6-5 | Weight: 188
Standing reach: 8-4 | Wingspan: 6-6¼
If the first four picks proceed as expected, the Clippers will have their choice of the top guards here, with L.A. hitting on its 47.9% chance of obtaining this pick from the Indiana Pacers. The Clippers don't fully control their own picks until 2030, so the opportunity to select a top prospect is a huge windfall. The most popular names here have been Wagler and Darius Acuff Jr., with the presence of smaller starting point guard Darius Garland making Wagler the cleaner fit. While Wagler's high-end outcomes are as a lead playmaker, playing alongside a veteran ball handler to begin his career would be beneficial and relieve some of the immediate pressure.
NBA teams got official measurements on Wagler for the first time at the combine, and he unsurprisingly has excellent size for a ball handler at 6-5 barefoot. He is not overly long, measuring with a plus-1¼ wingspan, and tested in the middle of the pack athletically. Any concerns about his explosiveness aren't expected to heavily impact his draft stock, with his range seemingly a narrow band of teams outside the top four, also including the Nets, Kings and Hawks."
It looks like betting markets have been anticipating this with UM already down to 3rd over the past couple weeks:
With Morez officially staying in, I think we objectively won the made up trade of Morez for Mirk.
I really want to like this post, and I am exceedingly happy that Michigan will no longer have his services. But there is that pesky matter of them winning the national championship with him, so I don't know.

thank you. how can you say we won when they have a freaking ring and we don't. I'm very excited to have Mirk this year and the sky is the limit on the potential for this team with Mirk being the center piece but come on. a ring is a ring, even if it is covered in scum.I really want to like this post, and I am exceedingly happy that Michigan will no longer have his services. Let's circle back next April, if Mirk gets us a natty too then I'll concede.
