  • EFF measures a player's overall contribution to the game, factoring in both offensive and defensive actions.
  • It is calculated using a formula that includes points, rebounds, assists, steals, blocks, and turnovers.
  • A higher EFF indicates a more impactful performance on the court.
  • Coaches and analysts use EFF to evaluate player effectiveness and make strategic decisions.
  • EFF can vary significantly between players and positions, reflecting different roles in the game.
  • Tracking EFF over time helps assess player development and consistency.

Can't watch but paying attention to box score, what does EFF mean? last column.
Efficiency: (QC)
(PTS + REB + AST + STL + BLK) - (Turnovers + Missed Shots[both FG&FT])
(8+9+2+0+1)-(3+6+3) = 20-12 = 8

As he stands with under 4 left.

Huge swing of events. Canada up 1, missed a wide open 3, and USA gets an uncontested dunk off the rebound.

That could've been 4pt lead (instead they're down 1).

Team USA falls by 2.

QC missed a buzzer beater from around half court to end game. Finished with 8-10-2.

Was far & away the most polished player for Team USA. As Brad said, he's a winning player that does all the small things. And was the best player on the squad as a guy that played off the ball (which he's going to have to do quite a bit on this season's team). The staff has to be salivating at what they saw from him this tournament. Absolutely zero question he'll fit in in any role that's given to him.
