Illinois Football Recruiting Thread

I think Dad has the wisdom to understand that there are bumps in the road and things don't always go as planned. Plenty of highly regarded HS kids don't end up being stars in college.

Go watch Grants hudl film and see him dominate the ccl as a 15 year old sophomore. He will make an instant impact at whatever school he goes to. He’s already 6’4 225lbs with 2 more years of hs left. He’s already bigger than our current te commit

Come play WR in a modern or Ferentz's dinosaur offense. I know which I'd rather choose

I just looked and the last time Iowa had a player break 600 yards receiving in a season was TE Sam Laporta is 2022. The last time they had a WR go over 500 yards was 2019. I might have miscounted but during that time Illinois has had 10 times during a season when a WR topped 500 yards.

Also why I would give the Illini a good shot in the Bowen recruitment.

Laporta and 2022 was 4 years ago. That’s a long time ago for a 16 year old. That kid will hear that from every single school in his recruitment.
