Chicago White Sox 2026

I’m loving the jump Chase Meidroth has made so far this year. He had a pretty solid rookie year, but he’s become more of an offensive weapon. His OPS is up .100 over last year, and he’s already surpassed his HR and RBI totals in nearly 200 fewer at bats. If he can be a 12-15 HR guy, it helps offset having a corner outfielder with not much pop in Sam A. And that’s not a dig at Sam. It’s just not his game.

Nellie Fox was a legend for the Sox at second base. There is a definite Nellie-Vibe to the way Meidroth plays. The more you see of Meidroth the more you see the legendary combo of the World Series-era Sox of Aparicio and Fox. The Sox have a budding new Keystone Combo legends in process.

White Sox historical struggles against the Yankees continues. Hopefully, Sox can pull out a win today. Unfortunately, I didn’t start Weathers this week in fantasy because he’s been pretty bad of late, so he’ll probably pitch great

I love that Sam A is getting some time at 2B. Adds to team’s flexibility, and, selfishly, if he plays 10 games at 2B he’ll maintain his eligibility there for next season in my fantasy league. 😁 He likely would be one of my 15 keepers regardless, but much more attractive with the 2B eligibility.

sox park is very underrated. happy to see some bigger crowds this year, these kids deserve it (not you, seranthony). need to get down there soon
Sox are really fun to watch right now. We got so excited after last night’s victory, that we bought tickets for tomorrow! We haven’t been to a game in at least ten years!

You see this happen over all the years. Sox fans are always a sleeping giant. The other side of town gets all the media love... but Sox fans for well over 100 years have always been out there waiting to show up when there is something good to watch.

The other side of town will always show up at their yard no matter what. Sox fans have never been this way. If the on-field product is poor then Sox fans don’t show up at the park (but we still care). And finally when the ball club shows signs of life... suddenly the Sox fans come out in big numbers. It’s been this way for generations. That’s just how this town is.

For those old enough... remember what 2005 was like (and way back in 1959 for those with elders and their stories). Magic on the South Side. It can be that way again if things continue to build right.

In front of almost 29,000 at Rate Field, the Sox manage just three hits, but still beat Cleveland 2-1 to take a 1 game lead in the Central. Guess I'll have to go to a game or two this year.
