another shutout loss..........IMHO , Herrera's offense is being affected by his desire to catch again......well , he is 0 for 45 in catch stealing stats and he is striking out more than ever now.....keep him at DH and Pages or Crooks catching....Bernal and Rodriguez are waiting for their chance......with WC chances dwindling now , time to ramp up the runway going towards trade deadline early August.....

Why is it a stunning move? Cardinals fans discourse on Mo is completely divorced from how the rest of the baseball world sees him. He's always been well respected around the league. It was always obvious he'd get a job somewhere else.

As an aside, if you're happy with how the team is performing now, you have to acknowledge that Mo brought in most of these guys, and the manager.

What a great way to start this 6 game road trip withe 5-3 victory over the Braves..........

Liberatore gains his 4th win of the season going 5 IP , 1 H , 1 ER , 4 W , 9 K's.......I think Libby matured some in the 3rd inning when he walked the first 2 batters then came back with 3 straight K's..................

Romero and Fernandez brought some anxious moments late but O'Brien closed it out for his 21st save.......

Velazquez 2-2 , 1 R , 1 RBI , 1 HR.........
Church 1-4 , 1 H , 1 R , 3 RBI's , 1 HR ..............
B, Jordan 0-3 , big sac fly , 1 RBI ........

let's continue on this 2 game winning streak with another big road win tomorrow @ 6:15 pm cdt.............

I almost didn't watch due to the pitching matchup, but Liberatore looked like he could pitch last night. He needs to put several games together but his stats suggest he won’t.

I don’t expect to see Scott playing CF anymore, unless there is an injury.

Walker leads the NL in rbi with 63. Burleson isn't far behind at 58. Both will probably have 100 this season. These 2 make a foundation for the pic and pop creativity Marmol has the roster going right now. Both these guys are proven, dangerous hitters with power, and both are still young. Marmol should be a solid candidate for NL manager of the year.
