Scheduling hoopstownweek 1for Montini was a mistake. They were ready for this game. How do they respond now with Marist and naz next. Naz was out 5 for for IC and are a different team now. They had 4 d1 commits not play week 1
East St. Louis came back and almost won. They actually made a ton of mistakes and could’ve won. They fumbled inside the 5, had a bad snap that lead to a safety. Also a red zone trip that lead to 0 points.

When the schedule shifted, Montini couldn’t find anyone to play them. They had to pay Hoopeston a decent chunk of change to even get a game.
Were the Naz players injured or was a one game off for social activities that hits lots of teams?

4A Rochester 44, No. 1-rated 7A Batavia 16. Shockwaves in HS football circles. The senior class has some really good players. The junior class has never lost a game dating back to about fourth grade. The freshman class has beaten 7A Moline 45-6 and Bloomington 50-0. Hank Beatty's old HS team is pretty good (and water is wet).
I was shocked seeing that score. Not that Rochester isn't a very good program, but Batavia has a very good team, and very good coaching. It's crazy they got handled like that, and by a 4A team. I'd have been surprised if LWE, Oswego, or Geneva beat them by that margin.
That makes sense. Can’t remember the Hitters giving up that many points at Duchon too often.
