I don't want to root against Olano. He won us some huge games, seemed like a great kid.

I dislike A&M though. (it's not just Olano they've taken from us)

Nope.

Neal / McCollum / Tomiwa / Coenen / Warren all entered the transfer portal.

One could easily look at those names and say none of them are true "difference makers" -- which is probably true -- but they're proven starters / rotational players at the P4 level. We just don't have that right now.

I'll say it's bad. Supposedly TAMU really overpaid for him. He's a kicker, you absolutely need to cash that check if offered.

Two completely different points.

I’ll never understand this love for guys who leave, Occam’s Razor of course he should take the money. You would and I would and most would.

But he plays for TAMU now. I am not rooting for an SEC team and I am not rooting for anyone on that team, especially someone who if wildly successful will have people here grinding their teeth in frustration at what might have been.

Well, perhaps you can understand it better if you think of it like professional sports, which is essentially what this is now. Olano gave us some great games. Now he's with another team. I could name a dozen players on both the bears and cubs that I still think well of after they took the money and ran.

That’s great. If they go to Green Bay are you rooting for the Packers?

I still think well of Olano too. There’s another thread here where I talk that we will miss him more than people think. But I don’t want him to be great in Texas.
