Horrible Cubs defense in the seventh inning
Yeah, I agree (if we have baseball next year).Wait till next year. Going to bed.
Tough calls. Boyd has been the most consistent all year. Obviously, last night was not his night.Shota, Peterson and Holmes were clearly the best three starting pitchers for the Cubs down the stretch. So, we’re not going to start any of the three in the first two games of the playoffs?
I think the word "clearly" is doing some heavy lifting thereShota, Peterson and Holmes were clearly the best three starting pitchers for the Cubs down the stretch. So, we’re not going to start any of the three in the first two games of the playoffs?
Agreed. Holmes lost his last two starts, and his game scores suggest he wasn’t as good as the other guys down the stretch.I think the word "clearly" is doing some heavy lifting there

Shota just pitched on Sunday. He’d be on short rest.
Peterson has a decent argument, but Gausman is more rested, and misses a lot more bats than the other guys.

Horton obviously hasn't shown he can stay healthy over a long period but his stuff is ace-level without any question.None of which are really aces, imho.
