And what about the GM who hired the head coach? Year 5 of rebuild.

If they don't make improvements, he may not make it to Thanksgiving.

His seat will be warming as well. I think they just signed him to an extension last year but that doesn't mean anything if your team is horrible. And right now, they are horrible.

That time will come, but that's an assessment of the trajectory of the roster as a whole.
Last night was just a low-effort, low-energy, one guy doesn't know where the other guy is going to be type of performance. The leash for that is going to be real short.
For a team with youth and speed, they have played slow and uninspired so far. I get Bedard is out, but it appears none of the young guys are progressing at all and the team as a whole is just playing rec league level hockey.
Not sure how long this will be allowed to continue without a major shakeup.

As long as the arena is full of people who come to hear Jim Cornielson sing and relive old memories, I'm not sure anything will change. The Bulls and the Cubs have kind of the same formula (see the statues, point to the banners, look at the ivy, fill the seats, - no problem here, move along, move along).

In a way looking totally unprepared is good news, since we know at least THAT is fixable.
I hope Bedard is watching this from the bench and getting his 2 cents in.
Unfortunately, they still say he is out until November.

By that time, the horse will be out of the playoff barn.
Last chance to save season tonight in Buffalo.
