Illini Golf 2026-2027

[JKR]

Illini women are doing quite well at Medinah.

Sorry I wasn't there again as a volunteer spotter this time. Darn it.

Go Illini!

Dropping quickly in the final round.

Fourth out of 15; not too shabby.

We just sent our backup individuals to WL to play in the Purdue Invitational?

Maybe Coach Small is looking for a ringer among them? Dunno. Need a spark from somewhere.

Harrison Zipfel? I go with him because he's a St. Louis University High School (SLUH) gradgeate. Can't hurt.

Big picture, next year we lose Max, Dane and Ethan. That means two roster spots open, need to see if the kids will be ready or if they need to hit the portal. Harrison has shown a lot this fall, I think there's a good chance he can get there.

Near term, Coach is big on qualifiers. If he earns it, he might get a start in the spring. And if he plays well...

Bad choice of words "ringer" in post 105. Sorry. Spark will do.

Excellent analysis.
