Grrr again.Assuming the season ever takes off...
Tampa at least has the decency to tear it down and start over so that they are bad for a few years. Milwaukee is evidentially going to win the Central every season forever. Cleveland isn't good. The Cardinals would have a better record than them if they had tried at the trade deadline. Just didn't make sense in the NL this year.Watching Cleveland, Tampa and Milwaukee in NLCS ALCS.
No excuse for the Cardinals not to win the division and be WS contender every year.
Poor drafting, poor development and really poor free agent signings. Owner cutting overall budget did not help.
Hopefully Moz learned his lesson and does better with Angels.
Why do we care what Moz does now, and anyway, he never did anything wrong, just ask him.
I think an infusion of veteran talent at a starting pitcher slot, third and at an outfield position to stem
the tide while the AA talent make it to show could make this a very interesting year. (if we
have one) To get back over .500 with the kids (+3 or 4 veterans) could put us in a great position to
be really good in two years. if i see progress, I'm ok with that schedule.
probably out of our price range, but one of Ian Happ, Dalton Varsho, Seyai Suzuki.Pretty weak free agency class - but there are a few vets who probably fit the bill you’re looking for.
Personally, I wouldn’t mind take a flyer, full circle, chance on Zac Gallen.
Jose berrios maybe.
I'd steer clear of Gallen. His decline has been both precipitous and steady. No sign at all that this is a temporary problem. Think a big chunk of the problem is mental, and another part is that he's a pitcher who relies of deception, not velocity, and the league as figured him out. He's probably got to strip everything down and reinvent himself at least a little bit, and that's always a tough proposition.probably out of our price range, but one of Ian Happ, Dalton Varsho, Seyai Suzuki.
if ur taking flyers maybe Walker Buehler or Alec Bohm. Maybe put the band back
together with Ryan Helsley (at least until the trade deadline)
A farewell to Max Scherzer? i dont think he'd play for a "non-contender" but he
is a STL boy.
I do like the Zac Gallen idea. Berrios is probably more than we would spend.

If you take away the Cardinal stats Happ has, his total stats would drop significantly.probably out of our price range, but one of Ian Happ, Dalton Varsho, Seyai Suzuki.
