Could you expand on why teams making more money and increased quality of play are bad things?
Sure.

The money comes from the fans who are made to pay for games that don't count. That's lame.

And teams not having jelled yet early in the season leads to chaos and upsets and entertainment in those first collisions of big teams, which is all the more exciting and surprising because these were units nobody had really seen yet due to the aforementioned lack of preseason.

Let the NBA chase efficiency to the ends of the earth on and off the floor, I want my college sports lumpy and weird like they always were.

Small shifty guard puts 31 on Florida. He'll put 40 on us with our history vs that prototype. Illinois 88 - baylor 46 🤪
Score would be correct, but it's a scrimmage and BU will want to see our #10-14 players against a quality team.

College basketball: if we hosted additional games each season involving your favorite team, would you be willing to pay to attend the games?

Fans:

Money Futurama GIF

Gritty: and that’s a bad thing, actually.

The fans aren’t “made” to do anything. It’s extra games, cheaper games, where fans can choose to see their favorite team play even more often.
I also love college basketball for the same reasons you stated, but a few extra practice games at the beginning of the season aren’t gonna turn ncaa basketball into the nba. If it did, the ncaa tournament wouldn’t be so exciting with upsets and insane games.

If Ethan Brown has another great game... look out.
I was saying back in the summer that he will surprise along with Lincoln Williams. What I like about Brown is he has a knack of being in the right place at the right time. His BB IQ is off the charts. Add that to the motor that Coleman has, this season could be special. The pace in which this team could play is outrageous.

Did Big Ten plus do away with their one school $9.99 special? The cheapest I see available now is $12.99 for one month.

As a basketball fan, with my passion owned by the Fighting Illini, I would love to watch any game the Illini can book against a top 10 opponent and would pay a discounted price for a seat...but no the same price as a regular season game. For one, I love to see what the new faces can provide. Secondly, what can the various combinations do together. And finally, who still wants to win and will play with focus, passion, and effort...even when it means nothing!!

If you want all the Illinois exhibition games, I recommend the $44.99 six month plan instead of the $12.99 per month plan for three months. The Seattle game is B1G+ so you’ll need October, November and December (not sure how they prorate each month). I’ve watched several of the B1G exhibition games so far and find it worth the value.

One added bonus: the six month plan is not a subscription so it doesn’t automatically renew.

Going to this game. Ever year I ahve made it a tradition to go to exhibition games so I can see the freshman play. Glad to see Baylor this time. the Kansas game was some of the best times of doing this.

I paid $12.99 for 10/19 - 11/18. This covered yesterday's UConn @ MSU's game. And will also cover all other Big+ exhibitions this month (including our remaining two). Additionally, it'll give me vs. Sam Houston on 11/13. The only game I'd be missing this season would be Seattle on 12/29. Why would I want to pay the incremental $32 fo effectively one game? I don't really care to watch other B1G teams play against cupcakes in the fall. And don't care for other sports besides college basketball.
