Game Thread: Illinois vs Baylor (Exhibition)

[FloridaMan]

I thought we were told Cam Crocker was the answer to our defensive issues? It ain't happening and we are in year two. If anything we are worse.

[LuckyIllini]

Idk why I paid for this shxt

[Scoregasm]

Brad doesn't seem to mind...

[ILLFAN67]

Our 3 pt defense is atrocious. Rebounding sucks.

[JKR]

Quick guards will be an issue for us all year, so I think this is a great test early for the Illini

It was an issue last year.

[BBlock24]

This thread is hysterical lol.

[Illin618]

Big Z block at the rim and then little Mingo sneaks into FIVE on ONE paint territory for the putback.

NICE!!!

[LouHenson]

I don’t think Mirk makes up the 16 points and like what 50% from 3? Poor defense is putting it mildly

[Lakes333]

This is hot garbage. Defense is horrendous.

[Second place is 1st loser]

Is the season over?

Based on the comments coming from a freaking exhibition game.... let's just cancel the season. Weird.

[RichardKeenesCousin]

Well….. I guess it doesn't matter, but the defense is bad right? Or is Baylor really good?

[Kernal12]

Love Underwood, but he’s never really been able to instill the “defend the home court” mentality. Lots of poor home performances, more so than on the road.

[doowink]

Welcome to the Wood Shed boys

They're likely running base defense like in game one. That isn't the issue. Effort and rebounding aren't things you scheme.

Baylor has taken 9 more shots than we have and have made 7 of them.

[hoopsfan47]

Not sure there is any way the Illini can win this game especially with playing so many guys. Baylor brings elite energy and skills in their guards that we can't match.

[Fighter of the Nightman]

Would be nice wouldn't it?

Reacting negatively doesn’t automatically mean overreacting, lol.

[Wazababybrucedouglaskid]

Boys are realizing real quick you don’t get to just walk out on the floor and teams just lay down! Hopefully this will be a great early learning point! Hopefully!

[skyIdub]

Lmao....tell me it's a mistake to televise exhibition games without telling me it's a mistake to televise exhibition games.

Good. Grief.

[Calvin]

53 points in 16 minutes. Wow. Wtf is this,Brad?

It's a pace to hit 132, among other things

[Illinisnake]

Is this what Vaaks is? He’s awful on the defensive end.

[HailtotheChief]

Too many second chance points and open looks from 3

[FloridaMan]

Gimme a break with "this is an exhibition takes" lol. Doesn't seem to matter to Baylor. Some guys need to learn ball. We are wildly overrated right now.

[Illini-Rule]

Brad doesn't seem to mind...

Brad is getting some good ammunition to chew some butt
