UIC is overmatched. Illini taking control early with a lot of youth.

Has anyone seen evidence of any kind that QC is not an elite shooter? I sure haven't. And maybe the best rebounder for his size since Don Freeman?

Rebounding is rough without our usual rotations.

Really spoiled last year by Mirk / Keaton. Our offense was clearly built with the mindset of Mirk playing a Cam Boozer type role. Think we’re still figuring out how we will play without him.

The lack of set plays is apparent right now. Even Jake Davis is cornering himself into bad spots and throwing sloppy bailout passes.

Ethan Brown is going to be All B1G before he's gone.
Illini have been blessed with so many talented guards that standing out over his teammates may be the biggest hurdle for him to reach that status. He is good with high IQ, but I have her to identify the strengths in his game that are above all others. And two, maybe three really talented guards coming in next year. I really love Ethan's game and would not trade him for anyone, but All B1G players truly stand out in something over all others.

Begs the question.. why doesn’t he shoot more? Minimum of 7-8 attempts a game
98% of his made threes were assisted. His role is to take and make the open shots.

You do actually know how high 7-8 3pt attempts per game is?

Keaton was at 5.9. Plummer is our only player that’s been over 7 (7.3).
