I like Kylan as much as the next guy… but why settle if the rule goes into effect? That should change everything

This board is pretty funny because there are 2 maybe 3 real insiders and the rest are simply posing to be insiders with baseless knowledge… But yet everyone treats all of their posts like gospel lol

They also return their core outside of their bigs. They should be really good. We made the Final Four, but Michigan State was the same seed and should be talked about in the same way

Feel like UConn should definitely be included in that

Yup. I think the staff has the opinion Vaaks could handle a larger workload, but it will be his first year being asked to be the primary ball handler. It was largely others who were bringing the ball up for Providence

    1. We have no clue who the PG is going to be, others on different boards think it will be Coleman. 2. If Vaaks doesn’t workout at point, Coleman or Morillo will be the guy. 3. Coleman will more than likely be the backup point. Back to the original post, McCoy will be in none of those positions...

Not sure why this needs spelled out, but Coleman is going to be relied upon to be one the lead ball handlers if not PG from the jump, whereas McCoy will be off the ball or a secondary creator. Completely different scenarios. I think Coleman should be completely fine as the 4th or 5th option on...

I think his point, or at least my read, is that it was Illinois players that were against the Blackwell add in the end. Only thing that makes sense in my head, especially given that the other options on his list will have similar situations. Plus explains why we aren’t recruiting anyone else

You could tell a guy like Jalen Cox that he will play a minimum of 10 mpg and more if you beat out Coleman or Morillo… I think you could definitely find a player who would take that offer. Especially one who strikes out on the big market deals/roles like Cox has

100%. Should be able to offer a veteran guard 15 minutes a night at the very least, could be more if the freshman struggle or someone gets hurt. Should be a fairly attractive role on a title contender

I understand what the insiders on here have said, but it’s been reported elsewhere and has been my read that we backed off him in order to avoid further attrition. The FL insider is the only one on here to elude to something similar with regard to the portal date. Not sure who it was that would...

Don’t let the insiders tell you different, calls were made. You don’t go from all in to pay a top transfer guard to suddenly being happy with freshmen… Someone wasn’t happy

This makes sense decision wise for Blackwell but where I’m confused is why the decision has been made to not go after anyone else? Odd to me that they would be all in on a guy coming in to play 30+ minutes and get a hefty payout but now are fine with what they have? Maybe just a matter of the...

I agree with that, but you feel a lot more comfortable with another veteran guard who can handle it and create some. And I’m in total agreement on Cox, at the very least he’d be a good off the bench guard. An injury to either Vaaks or Coleman and we’re in trouble
