Well, you never know. We didn't get a "stud point guard" last year. We got a "Keaton Wagler" instead. That seems to be working out well so far.

From Pat Farrell's comments, it's apparent that the new defensive scheme/philosophy is getting some quick buy-in by the players. That's good.

Kamden Lopati may be offered by many other schools that aspire to be as good as Illinios. But, we have Art Sitkowski and they don't. Kamden is coming here.

I remember the first time I saw our new RB coach as a player against the Illini. I was in Memorial Stadium watching Illinois get plastered by Michigan. The field looked bigger when Michigan had the ball. The game was not at all good for the beloved Orange & Blue. I hung in 'till the end of...

For all the those on this board who have been clamoring for a new defensive scheme, it's clear to me that you'll get it. I believe the Illini defense will be just fine this year. And yes, this includes the D-Line. I am looking forward to many entertaining Illini football games this year.

For Bobby Hauck as the Illini Football Defensive Coordinator . . . As long he can take the talent available on the defensive side of our team, and keep us in games or flat-out win games with defense, I do not care what scheme(s) he chooses to implement.
