Vaaks will be the primary initiator, and has the skills to do so well, but he's bigger, longer, stiffer and lower AST% than all the guys you mention. Not by a lot, but he's just a further step down the path of where we've already been in terms of not having a PG in the classical sense. I like...

Perish the thought, but we've got to be less vulnerable to that than most, right? We're not super dependent on any specific guy. We'd be a weird PG-less offense without Vaaks, but in truth we're already a weird PG-less offense WITH Vaaks. Very few teams have cloned their top big either.

If Brad and Muss swapped teams tomorrow, I'd bet on Brad to finish higher in the B1G. If the portal NIL era is teaching us anything, it's that grab bags of high expected value individuals in a context that doesn't organize and maximize them well is often a path to nowhere. I don't see any...

https://www.cbssports.com/college-basketball/news/mike-boynton-named-michigan-coach-contract-details/ It's not ideal but for now I don't think it'll put a dagger in the heart of the program

Yeah, even with Gobert back there as rim protector, I don't really see how that works. There could be another move yet to come here, we will see. Could involve TSJ, who knows. But as it pertains to TSJ's place on that roster as it stands, they have just had too many players in general the last...

We're going to have to settle for Quentin Coleman and his dull, boring 5-star rating and obvious explosive athleticism

I would respect "we win you lose cry more" 10000X more than all the desperation to be considered honorable and the gold standard stuff. It all ultimately comes back to Woody and Bo, who were both the exact same person, absolute scoundrels who would cut any corner to get and stay on top. Ohio...

Everyone said Ayo's jumper was a complete mess coming out of HS, and from day 1 here it looked weird and went in. Still does.

Sure. I guess what I'm saying is, it would be wise to bet on Morillo to become a competent shooter of an open college 3, and it also would have been wise to bet on Ty to become a competent shooter of an open college 3. Ending up on the wrong side of an 80/20 proposition doesn't make the 20 more...

On the one hand that's what everybody said about Ty at the time too. On the other hand, these things are probabilistic, and Ty's evolution as a jump shooter was just a 10th percentile outcome, you'd feel good about your chances rolling those same dice again.

One also senses the need to sell Bedard on the here and now played a role in this. He is sick and tired of losing and has no poker face for it.

Very Michigan to still be complaining after winning national titles in both sports in a three year span. They don't want to win nearly as much as they want to be told lullabyes about how special they are forever and ever.

Moving up costs resources and the Bulls aren't really in a position to give up resources. You definitely don't want to give up future picks. The Swain thing seems pretty simple, he's a SLAP guy, and he's a bargain at 15 if you can teach him to shoot. That's a gamble that seems consistent with...
