Guard play
Belo-Plum-TFraz 7 for 29 field; 4 of 8 FT. not getting it done and, sorry, but has happened too regularly thoughout entire season. Got 1 week to get on a heater
Couldn't agree more. BTT is fun, challenging and great to win, but laser focus of the team, coaches, Illini Nation needs to be on the big dance and getting to the 2nd weekend
Individual offensive production includes passing the ball effectively, and I swear we are one of the worst passing teams I've watched. And that's been going on all season
Frankly, a disgusting win. 1 for 13 from three point range in 2H with turnovers galore. The drumbeat continues--the trajectory of the offense, individually player driven, is not coming along and not progressing as a whole. We aren't going to make any noise at all come tourney time.
I keep beating the Fighting Illini drum on this, but it's the regular/recurring inconsistency & lack of offensive production that has to be addressed, somehow, as we head toward tourney time. And I'll grant that Purdue is very good and was exceptionally good in the 2H, but our offensive woes...
Totally agree regarding Trent and Plum, but good to see better contribution from Grandison last night. As I've indicated before, we need elevated individual player contributions, offensively, as we head toward tournament play.
Respectively disagree with ".......our offense needs to flow better." It isnt "flow." We need more, much more player contribution from anyone not named Kofi
A win is a win, but our overall performance trajectory, offensively, is pointing downward. UWood is also realizing that, given his all out search for the right rotation.
Going to come back and haunt us in the big dance if he can't get the offensive output to be more productive and consistent.
