this is still extremely contextual though, you added 4 filters to your data set
if i want to know a players ability in a certain area i dont compare him solely against above average players because that skews what im looking at
dont know what was originally said at this point but feels like...
who would you have in front of him in the b1g?
mckenney and mccoy prob both start for mich
lajuan watts prob a starter for wash
kur teng maybe? only guy i can think of but wouldnt completely rule out him being starter either
making claims that he's the best defensive player in the draft have even less merit when he goes out and commits 7 personal fouls en route to some guy who didn't even get drafted dropping 36 on him
did you read the article at all? dont think you even read the title/headline... theyre saying he...
he still cant guard well, had 7 personal fouls in 28 minutes the other night while his counterpart (who is a no-name undrafted guy) put up a monster game with 36 points
going back to original comment of 'best defensive player in the draft' (which everyone knows is silly) --> just because you...
aday mara changed the entire game when he was in there
opposing offense rim percentages were like 20-25 percent lower with mara on the floor than with him off... morez a fine defender but didn't change the game in this way
as someone else said even lendeborg mightve been better too since morez...
mike boynton never even had a top 30 defense at ok st
avg kenpom defense rank of 61
made 1 ncaa tourney in 7 seasons
missed the nit 4 times in 7 seasons
51-75 b12 record
defense probably had more to do with mara and johnson jr than a mike boynton midas touch
this is the take everyone keeps coming back to that holds no water because if it were an issue then he wouldn’t have signed after the season like he did
they only left after reneging on like three different contracts they signed
ah yea i messed up my list... and its 87 power conference teams, not 79
so still firmly in the 'above average' percentile of pc programs and not a 'bad shooting team' not even close
