If we beat Iowa Sunday I’m seeing an extremely likely scenario where Iowa gets the 7 seed and we could play them back to back. Don’t love that or am I missing something
Yes great point and to BU point we got punched in the mouth. You can take that as guys not shooting well, getting out played, not having energy, being tentative. At the end of the day it’s one game, it sucked but as a fan base we move on and beat MSU.
I think people forget where we’ve been for...
As I look at this team and to make an analogy as a three headed monster: I feel we have a huge monster as #1, 3 pt/outside shots are #2, and anyone (maybe curbelo) driving to the lane dishing passes is #3
Within the last 2-3 weeks this thing is running quick and hoping it stays that way (caught it myself) I’m optimistic in 2-3 weeks this will have run through most teams etc. Definitely better now then in March
I agree that is too much. It’s all based on KenPom
Illini-14
Mizzou-145
If you like betting this is how Vegas makes its ncaab spreads. I think the Illini win but maybe don’t cover
Honestly dude, go on the Ill St. fan board and have fun. Give me Ill St. and Middle Tenn. St. on a neutral court and it would be the same result as us vs. VCU. PS. VCU is a better team than both of those...
Can anyone explain the logic of Illinois St. being in over us on a lot of brackets? They have literally played no one except Wichita St. who they split...I have to believe the committee won't put them in.
If this is technically on the wrong thread I don't want to hear it cause I want nothing more than the Illini to run the table and end with a last 4 in berth starting with this win vs Penn St. However, from a sports phych. aspect this is something that has come to my mind throughout groces...
Not sure if anyone has posted this or even if the spread is out but knowing how penn st has played teams at home (beat mich st) and Illinois on the road...I would say Penn St. Is favored -2.5. This would be a great win for this team on the road. Penn St. is not a cupcake away
