Glad I left home to go to the races when we were still (relatively) in the game, on the scoreboard anyway. And then I saw the final score while I was at the track... Somehow, the masochistic Illini fan in me is still planning on heading up to Lincoln for the Nebraska game in a couple weeks...

But he'd look soooo much better on the sideline today. I guess it's a good consolation that they wanted him in studio to somewhat keep us out there? I don't know, seeing him there just feels like another punch square in the gut to me :(

Big weekend for Luke Guthrie at the Digital Ally Open, finishing T2 at -22. That finish moves him up 35 spots to 37th on the projected money list, about $30,000 outside the top 25.

It was a bit of a rough day for him on some of the greens, but he shot a 74 (+3), which put him T63 with about 15 others. Top 64 after tomorrow move on to match play. I'm hoping to catch his back 9 tomorrow too, work schedule willing.

Question for any of you who may follow golf recruiting - Are there any Illini targets or commits that are playing in the U.S Junior Amateur this week? With the tournament being in town, I'm planning on checking it out at least one or two days this week. I was just curious if there was anyone...

And I couldn't be any happier. These announcers were getting on my last nerve coming across as so pro-NW. Not that my extreme anti-NW bias has anything at all to do with that :D
