I went to college with Lamont (College of Wooster D-III), he's got a great future! Great hire for UTC, great for us that Wisconsin loses a great coach, I'd love to see him coaching for the Orange and Blue someday.
JW is gonna keep Groce because it's all part of his nefarious plot to make Illinois a football school once again (insert evil laugh) "MIFSA". Robert from IB has been his secret press secretary, hence the continued support of Groce. JW was part of the "17" all along. It's all a conspiracy.
This is more of an aside than a legit name, but I'm surprised Mark Jackson isn't coaching somewhere. Perhaps the "reputation" issue? Not that he doesn't have a great gig.

I've got plenty of love for NU (I went to grad school there), but because Illinois is my big time number one (grew up in Urbana) NU's success while we suck just makes it worse (for me). They are gonna beat the crap out of us. That just isn't right. I miss Lou Henson.
I went to college with Wisconsin assistant coach Lamont Paris, and then we worked together for a year at the College of Wooster, we used to play noontime hoops together. He would only use his left hand. Amazing DIII player. He's a great guy, and a great up-and-coming coach.
I agree. Who Groce decides to play is not Jaylon's fault. He's limited in scoring ability but he always should have been a complimentary piece. Again, it's not Jaylon's fault that Groce missed on so many point guards. I'm sure all he cares about is winning and doing whatever he can to help...
Did anyone else notice that Leron came out both smart and aggressive? He seemed extra motivated--probably knew Kipper was gonna take some of his minutes--and started well and played well overall. It's interesting how Kipper is not as long but seems to finish better in traffic. They are both...
