No, I get that. I never doubted that he would put his name into the portal. Or even that it made some sense that he wouldn’t necessarily come back to Illinois.
What I don’t get is the insider narrative shift from ‘he would never transfer’ to now ‘it’s a good possibility’. That didn’t change...
Wasn’t it just a week ago that we were all told we were dumb for thinking Coleman could/would go anywhere else if he stayed in college?
I understand things are fluid but the narrative flipping 180 degrees in a week or two is crazy.
Some just want to complain about everything, that’s obvious.
For some, writing down their worries is cathartic (‘getting it off their chest’).
People may be airing their concerns on here as a way of actually looking for others to soothe the concern (“it’s not that bad” etc).
And others may...
That’s crazy. I trust we can create a good roster from the portal, but man, that’s a lot of change. We need a few guys at least to carry the culture over. That’s where guys like TY and Goode and Domask and Coleman would be especially valuable - beyond being awesome players of course.
All I can think is thank goodness TSJ was able to finish out this season out. Well done on his lawyers part.
Imagine the feeling if his suspension had been upheld and then we get this new rule after the season ends….
If his rehab isn't going so well and he needs to come back to college for a year, I want to believe coming back to Illinois is as easy as it seems for someone who dedicated their career here. But I also feel like this year with our March run and how it all ended was really emotionally draining...
I agree. I think this is the eventual way it settles down. Also maybe some incentives/bonuses if you win a conference championship, make it to a S16, F4, and win a national championship.
Dude. Why do you care so much? If you don’t like the info here, just don’t visit the site 🤷🏽♂️. Stick with your “national media”. The rest of us enjoy this place and the insiders who bring info, so don’t ruin it for the rest of us.
I swear. Who would voluntarily visit a place and spend their...
Oh they’re getting all the credit they deserve/need, I’m not worried about that. They just seem to have taken on the smug attitude of the Alabama program but for basketball. I can’t stand coaches/fan groups that look down on everyone else.
What’s very clear to me is that the last thing that Dan Hurley and UConn fans need is anything more to brag about. Can’t wait for them to go back into oblivion as a program. Never seen a group get so full of themselves so quickly. I’m also glad I don’t live in the Northeast and have to deal with...
