I would argue that Rod Smith wasn’t that bad and really wasn’t fired. Love was fired and BB wanted to bring in his guys. Never felt that should reflect on any staff at the time of firing the HC, you maybe see a handful of staff stick around during regime changes.

I like the fact he was from App State. For the 8th or 9th biggest school in NC, the have the 2nd most consistent football program, even with their coaches moving onto better jobs.

Have to give BB credit, he is not afraid to end a bad experiment. I did think it was more of a personnel issue at QB but I’m ok with it. Anyone know if BB was this quick to pull the trigger at other stops?

Honestly, after the past few years, if we can be competitive every game, I will be happy. We have some random talents, but BB and company will need to recruit to fill the roster with P5 recruits.

Drink did this all the time with QBs at NCSU. Honestly, it is smart. Look at Wisconsin getting all the way down to frat boys playing flag football last year. QB, RB, OL, & DL.... can never have too many schollies there, you take a beating or are in high pressure situations
