I personally would rather just have the fighting Illini jerseys (blue, white and orange) and rotate between them. The script is nice don’t get me wrong but I like the look and nod to the chief with the fighting Illini ones
This. There will be games that are decided by a missed or made field goal or 3 pt attempt, especially as the transfer portal has put many more teams on “equal playing field.”
Couldn’t we just run set plays to get players open for shots instead of basically resorting to players trying to create a shot for themselves. I have distant memories of Cory Bradford and Dee and Luther running through all sorts of screens to get open shots. Stuff like that.
In all honesty should not be losing to Alabama really ever. They are a football school. I know they have better players than they probably have in years past but pretty embarrassing in my opinion.
Really wish we would use Fighting Illini throwback looks as our main uniforms for three reasons
1. I feel like Fighting Illini keeps us linked to the Chief!
2. Having both words makes us stand out (in a good way) compared to using just Illinois which is more of what the majority of other...
I agree. I would like to see a coach that has schemes to fit the players we have. Having set plays where everyone works together to get each other open I would think would make everyone feel more involved/utilized as opposed to just standing around outside the 3 pt line. My issue with the Kofi...
Appreciate your take. I am not a coach by any means but to answer your question if a team is shooting threes poorly and their two point shots are falling then that should be an obvious clue to have them shoot the higher percentage shots. Play to the player’s strengths. So BU told everyone at...
A good coach adjusts his offense and defense based on what he/she has. Not always going to get the “perfect” 5 guys for your “system.” 95% of college coaches would salivate to have the opportunity to coach these players
Need a new coach that can actually coach. Never been an Underwood fan. How do you get this far in coaching when you cannot adapt to the players you have or adapt to the teams your playing…? Is he literally the only coach that cannot figure out an offense and/or defense to run?
