I believe that you have to have the QB under center to run effectively!

I agree and I thought our tackling was poor.

I agree! My goal is to just be competitive in all games and the really good times could ensue.

Similar situation! Remember Ethan Happ. Grew fast and was a guard as underclassman at a small school. We weren't interested in him. He never lost to us in 4 years.

    3/18 Games

Touche! By tired, I meant mentally tired. With equal talent, it seems that inner motivation is the difference in these games. It is difficult to find that extra motivation on an every-day basis. Thanks for the response.

Food for thought. I think it was Bob Knight that said the addition of the B10 tournament could affect the B10 performance in the NCAAs. It is thought that he meant that it made the NCAA tournament seem anti-climactic to participating teams. Lately our teams seem tired in the tournament...

Pregame: Illinois vs Arkansas, Thursday, March 16th, 3:30pm CT, TBS

In my opinion, we will know in 5 minutes of playing time how the game will go. If Arkansas blitzes us early, we're in for a long day. I've seen it too often.

I pretty much agree with this response. Our freshmen are playing like virtually all the freshmen the Illini have had over the years. Playing a freshman with 4 experienced starters works much better. It is what it is and will take time to fix.

    Illini Basketball 2022-2023

Correcto! There is no chemistry. "what we have here is failure to comunicate" The freshmen are playing like and shooting like freshmen. Until we find some constituency, this is what we are going to look like. Right now, we don't know where everyone is or where they are going to be on...

    Illini Basketball 2022-2023

It appears that we are playing what I call "5 on 5". With the multiple substitutions it is difficult to develop a team chemistry. I think this is what we are going to see until we find that 7 (or 8) players that can accomplish the needed chemistry. Right now, I see players more prepared to...
