Good point. It would seem only a non-elite program would try to sell something like that to a top 10 kind of player. Even then, you would think a Top 10 guy would still want some quality help out there, otherwise they may end up like Ben Simmons or Markelle Fultz, being the man on mediocre...

As Yates pointed out, pretty much no way Tilmon was going to Missouri if Groce is still the Illini coach. Just couldn't see him or his people being good with him sitting out a year since without a coaching change, you can't back out of an LOI without that penalty.

A one player sample does not make a trend. Like with Kentucky, one can point to a Ulis to counter a Charles Matthews. Or with Simeon, one can point to Nunn (just looking at on court performance) as a success story from Simeon versus DJW, though even DJW still has a chance to be a success story...
