Overall, I think this post is fair, but just nitpicking on a couple of items...
The offensive line was half very young, and half not very good (the experienced players)...Joe Spencer was an average player and an exceptional man, but this year's offensive line should be much better.
I do think the OL will be better, and the younger guys do seem more talented than last year's upperclassmen. But I think Spencer was better than average and will have a chance to prove that in Bengals' camp this summer. Still, the other senior, Austin Schmidt, while a long-time starter, didn't hook on with any NFL teams as a free agent, so that may be telling, unless he's hurt. Still losing Darta Lee and possible Watkins hurts and I'm guessing may end up with the staff reaching on some projects.

The defensive tackles were very young, and the ends were very good. This year, the defensive line should have better balance, albeit without the upside of Smoot and Phillips.
I thought Chunky Clements and Rob Bain, both seniors, were the primary guys at DT, along with Milan (5 starts) and Kenyon Jackson (5 starts). Then not anything proven beyond them. Also losing Smoot, Clements, and President off the edges will be problematic, and without hardly any proven guys behind them, plenty of playing time for incoming guys like Carney to get some tick. But again, unproven. So if balance, you mean both position areas will probably be equally weaker than last year, then sure.

Towards the end of the season they had their spots taken by Milan and Jackson. They key is that Milan needs to stay healthy. I could also see Kendrick Green starting by the end of the year.

Looks like Colorado State and Syracuse were his other good offers with Kentucky and Wake Forrest showing interest.

I still have faith in the staff to find solid recruits that fit their system so I'm hoping this string of 2018ers with very few power 5 offers is due to the fact that our staff is awesome at analyzing and locking these kids up before the other P5 offers come rolling in.

I really like his speed and he makes a lot of nice catches in his highlights.

It's glaringly obvious that his size is what is keeping the bigger programs from offering but this is the type of WR that the staff is looking for.

Welcome to the Illini Carlos!

In Lovie I trust. He has seen a lot of football at the highest levels. Possibly him at another position like CB.

I just watched his tape. Kid attacks the ball in the air. Typically small/quick wideouts aren't aggressive like that. Looks like he mostly played outside the numbers instead of a slot. Shows versatility if they do decide to move him inside.

Are we really getting upset over this? Beckman did the same thing for a friend's son, albeit in a more good natured manner. He made a fan for life likely, despite no longer being our coach.

The bigger story to me anyway is this "trainer" touting training 10 year old kids and marketing them. Isn't that the bigger issue. He even stated in the article " we are the only ones with 10 year old getting scholarship offers." So 1) we are not the only ones do why were we singled out, and 2) marketing 10 year olds for college scholarships???? Really

What's the deal with this staff recruiting TEs? The one position that this state has actually produced legit division 1 talent over the last couple years, and we can't grab anyone.
