- Can't let good teams hang around
- have to get more production from Miller/Grandison
- control emotions
- adjust to how the game is being called
Silver lining: Miller ain’t jumping pro after this year. He has a lot of growing up to do.
Oh, and it definitely feels like the Smith, Tilmon, Pickett trio live rent free in our guys heads. You can tell this game, for some on our team, is more like the “get back at those guys” show instead of just playing the game and beating them, soundly.
Missed free throws
Sloppy ball handling
Kofi didn’t go strong to the basket a number of times and missed easy ones because of it
Where was Miller tonight? Where has Grandison been this season? Thought he was supposed to be our best athlete or something?
Curbelo....love the fire he plays...
On that note, what’s the deal with a guy like Harold Yu? Plays on a good high school team (Sierra Canyon with Lebron James Jr) and is 7-3, 280 pounds (averaging what I’ve seen as 260 and 300). Sure he’s the number 205 player overall, but you can’t coach size like that.
Stars don’t matter in recruiting near as much as coaching and ability to develop. Don’t believe me? Go back and look at the top 100 from each year and write down how many had even mediocre NBA careers. Josh Jackson was the number 1 overall recruit in 2016 and couldn’t hack it in the league...
I know it’s a cupcake, but as has been said before, it’s nice to see us destroy a cupcake the way we are supposed to.
Defense looks outstanding. Hustle looks outstanding. Shooting will come and go, but those two things travel with you.
This’ll take the sting out of losing Nesbitt/Jones....but altenberger has a good point.
With Covid, is there potential for us to be able to get Frazier and DMW a free year and have them again next year?
