Terrible, awful last possession by KSU, blowing a legit chance to beat KU at Allen. Very, very bad.

Also, when Izzo yells he has a very large mouth, like a Muppet.

That Trae Young kid at Oklahoma is a fairly decent player.

43 pts, 11 boards, 7 assists.

I'd take him.

A&M loses to Tennessee. 0 and 5 in SEC after being ranked pre season and thru most of Dec. Our misery may not be as much as what they are dealing with in College station right now. I feel a little better.

After watching the miznoz Arkansas game.I'm glad we didn't get Tilmon.

Yes, we are glad we did not get a freshman C who is averaging 9.1 ppg and 4.6 rpg but we are heavily recruiting a sophomore transfer with just 1.5 years of eligibility remaining who was averaging 1 ppg and 2.1 rpg as a sophomore and 5.1 ppg and 5 rpg as a freshman. That makes a lot of sense.

I just don't think Tilmon has what it takes. He's got all the tools, but not the bb iq or heart. He's not going to the NBA this year. Might be good by year three.

I think he'll be a really good player before he's done at Mizzou. Right now he just commits way too many silly fouls to stay in the game long enough to be really effective.

Freshmen become sophomores.

I just don't buy into Billy Kennedy.

The guy can recruit, but he's really underperforming where it matters. Did a great job at Murray State, but hasn't lived up to the expectations.

Tilmon probably would have given us 2-3 extra wins at this point. Rather than 10-8, we'd probably be 13-5. So yeah, i'd gladly take him.

But the past is the past. He hasn't lived up to his one-time 1-and-done hype, but he's going to be a very good player next year. He'll be a draft pick after his junior year, IMO. He probably could go pro after next year if he manages to cut down on the fouls.

But Mizzou.......man. We complain about losing close games, but Cuonzo has the same problem. Not having Michael Porter really hurts, but he has a pair of seniors who are scoring a ton, and some very talented young bigs. 12-5 isn't a bad place to be, but this team is headed for the tournament bubble.

What happens when Barnett and Robertson graduate and he's left with pretty much no guard talent next year? They really need Courtney Ramey. Otherwise, Cuonzo risks throwing away his early capital and getting stuck as a perennial bubble team. Just like we knew he would.

Now that I have gotten over the vitriol I felt when Counzo got Tilmon to go to Mizzou, the perspective I have gained (probably aided by our win) allows me to look at the Mizzou situation less emotionally: Tilmon is a good talent, and he will do well at Mizzou. However, I do not believe he will ever be part of a stellar team. Counzo is what he is, and his limitations will again keep that program from ever being much more than a bubble team.

I do not feel any bitterness toward Tilmon, he wanted to go to Mizzou, and he should have gone where he wants to be. I would have welcomed him here, and we definitely could have used him this year. I can't quite say I don't feel any bitterness toward Counzo, but it's more because he will always remain a threat to lure some of our recruits away. Again, the silver lining is that he won't do much with them.
