Props to B1G post game for calling it out
I wouldn't blame Chrissy for voicing it in presser especially after msu game was another embarrassing display of total ineptness

Cats deserved that game. or at least, did not deserve the ref-job they got .

And thats after I saw them beat Sparty with my jaw on the floor at the way the refs tried to bail out Sparty.

As he should be. There is zero accountability in the referee game. The same guys are lousy year after year.

The calls at the end of the game were pretty bad, I'll give you that. The no call on Davison for 5 seconds and the Audige call both were worse than any call in the Purdue game IMO.

Northwestern was chucking terrible shots all game so not surprised at the FT discrepancy.

Re: Wisconsin, they are much much better than I thought they would be and deserving of their ranking and have a much better resume than us at this point. But I think I read a couple of weeks back they were in the top 10 or so for luck? And the NW game felt very lucky. Win by 6, but with a phantom call on a reach, a Davis prayer that banks in oh, and a 60 footer to end the first half.

They will probably finish top 4 in the BIG but I do think they are due to come back down to earth. Wouldn’t shock me if they drop a couple of games to the Penn States/Rutgers/IU tier type teams. And think we match up well with them.

It still infuriates me when an offensive player is going to the bucket and appears to be fouled on the shot...but the official waits to see if the ball goes through the hoop....it goes in... they play on....ball rolls out....official blows whistle (very delayed) and sends player to the line for 2 FT....bad look for officials imo

I just thumbed through their Torvik game scores and results and they have squeaked by so many close games that it makes sense the advanced analytics still have them as a cusp T25 team. Kudos to them for getting the W’s, but the numbers say they are not as good as their ranking.

Unfortunately, their schedule looks pretty light going down the stretch. I could easily see them finishing 15-5 in conference, which I think wins or shares the title this year.

If an outright title is in our future, we have to win the next four and split the state of Indiana road trip IMO.

I was at this game and I have noticed that the B1G refs make a lot of phantom foul calls. They anticipate a foul happing instead of seeing a foul happen. Just think if these are the best refs, how bad the worst ones are.

No, no, no....not possible. We have former refs on this board who informed us after the PU game that fouls call themselves and that the refs only ever call what they see.

Ked and I had a Twitter conversation about this same subject a little while back. As a HS official (different sport than BBall) one of the major sins is to anticipate what will happen and make a call. Bo is one of the worst at blowing the whistle before the play actually finishes out. I think refs somehow have it in their minds that it's more important that they make a call without any delay. Sometimes that's at the expense of waiting to see what the right call is.
