Kansas has now lost three in a row, maybe Self has lost the team, should be fired, needs to change his style, yells too much, etc. Just kidding but with the way that Illinois fans talk about Underwood and Illinois losing (not even two in a row) its funny how this board is so quick to turn on the team and/or coaches when we lose some.

Good point, but I think that's what fans do.

How bad is acc? Syracuse 6-3 in conference!!!
I think I heard some Missouri fans saying same thing about Big Ten and Illini’s record.

Not saying ACC is good (haven’t seen enough league games to know), but as Illini fans this year I think we should know that a team can have a bad game or three.

Kansas State losing to Iowa State by 7 with about 12 minutes left in the game. Didn't realize that Big 12 has 5 of top ranked teams this week in the top 12.
Yep, can certainly argue Big 12 is better this year than the Big Ten — at least at the top end.

The following Big Ten games take place this week, with the Vegas odds in parentheses.

Wisconsin at Maryland (UMD by 5.0)
Northwestern at Nebraska (NU by 2.5) ... the REAL NU, I will never respect the Big Eight tradition of "U of N" = "NU"
Indiana at Minnesota (IND by 10.5)
Iowa at Michigan State (MSU by 3.0)
#1 Purdue at Michigan (PUR by 5.0)

I actually feel like all of those games will go "as planned," so let's assume they do ... these would be the standings on Saturday as a slate of games kicks off:

Purdue: 9-1
Rutgers: 6-3
Michigan State: 6-4
Illinois: 5-4
Indiana: 5-4
Michigan: 5-4
Northwestern: 4-4
Iowa: 4-5
Maryland: 4-5
Penn State: 4-5
Wisconsin: 4-5
Ohio State: 3-6
Nebraska: 3-7
Minnesota: 1-8

Then the following games take place over the weekend:

Illinois (5-4) at Wisconsin (4-5)
Minnesota (1-8) at Northwestern (4-4)
Nebraska (3-7) at Maryland (4-5)
Ohio State (3-6) at Indiana (5-4)
Michigan (5-4) at Penn State (4-5)
Michigan State (6-4) at Purdue (9-1)
Rutgers (6-3) at Iowa (4-5)

I have probably given up on catching Purdue (though they are REALLY playing with fire and you wonder if they might start to lose some of these!), but we could realistically play ourselves into the #2 seed in the BTT and eventually a very good NCAAT seed ... I mean, it's not unrealistic at all when looking at those games to imagine us in second place with Rutgers on Sunday night.

This conference is nuts this year, and someone has to emerge to the top with Purdue ... let it be us!

Ideally I’d take a top 4 finish to avoid playing in the BTT until Friday.

Belo playing at Creighton on CBS sports network - coming off the bench even though their starting PG out.

Am I the only one who likes watching the games better on CBS sports network because they play the same song as the NCAA Tournament? Guessing the answer is yes...

He looks terrible, and very unhappy. Zero effort on defense and a lot of standing around on offense. One of the commentators said something along the lines of “Curbelo just doesn’t guard a lot of people. I gotta say.” It’s sad. I predict another transfer at the end of the season.

Heard that same comment.

Like so many others here, will always remember the BTT Iowa and Ohio State games plus so much else from his freshman year. Sad to see where things are now.

Not sure about the U of N. All the Nebraskans I know call it UNL.
It's Nebraska and the Huskers. NU is on some of the gear I've acquired over the years, but I think that's really a throwback to the pre-statewide system with UNK and UNO (and the med center I suppose).
