Johnny Davis is absolutely scorching.

Not sure if there is a thread for tonight’s game a but Carver Hawkeye is really empty tonight for the squakeye / terrapin game.

Note I didn’t pay for my ticket as I came to root for Iowa to lose.

We obviously have a tough turnaround from Tuesday to Thursday but Maryland also has a tough road trip. Do they just fly from Cedar Rapids to Champaign tomorrow and hang out for a couple days or do they fly home tonight then come back Wednesday to Champaign?

I would think they fly here and simply hang out. But who knows.

At least we won’t have to deal with Keegan Murray, Johnny Davis, and Jaden Ivey after this year. Those three will all be lottery picks this year.

I'm just glad Purdue got beat at home. Not that I like Wisky. This big 10 schedule is going to be a meatgrinder for every good team.

Maybe I misunderstood how this term is used.
“How does the NBA Draft lottery work? The NBA Draft lottery will determine the order of the top four draft picks this year. After the first four teams are locked in, the rest of the lottery order goes by inverse regular-season record. ... Fourteen ping-pong balls numbered 1 through 14 will be placed in a lottery machine.”

I think its kind of purposefully ambiguous. The 5-14 picks are by teams that were in the lottery, but lost. In my mind, they are not lottery picks since they are chosen in the reverse order of their record. From a marketing standpoint I guess it sounds better to talk about your 14th pick as a lottery pick player, instead of a mid 1st round pick.

It’s kind of like when I go to the store every week and pick up my Power Ball winnings. It may be zero, but it’s a nice consolation prize. 😁

In NBA parlance, lottery pick 100% means top 14 picks.
