Anyone know why MSU is playing Penn State at Penn and not in Happy Valley?

1) The Palestra is one of the greatest venues in CBB history. (See a game there if you have a chance)
2) Half of PSU players are from Philly.
3) PSU is not in session.
4) Undoubtedly will be a sellout vs. MSU in Philly.
5) Probably gives PSU a real chance for an upset in that environment.

As Penn State coach, Chambers has raided Roman Catholic High, a local powerhouse. He's the first hoops coach from State College to ever make such a dent in the Philadelphia recruiting market -- a beehive that gets picked at by the likes of Duke, North Carolina, Kansas and Kentucky, then digested by city schools Drexel, La Salle, Penn, Saint Joseph's, Temple and Villanova.

This is why Chambers moved one of his best home games 200 miles east. Recruiting Philly -- and drawing fan support from a well-saturated alumni base in the city -- is more important than drawing a home gate. Penn State would rather pay a hefty the rental fee to the University of Pennsylvania, the Palestra's keeper.

PSU is not the PSU of old. These guys can play. Putting on a passing and dunking show against MSU. Izzo blowing a gasket.

PSU up 11 w ball. MSU is in big trouble. PSU looks pretty good, and MSU is just mediocre.

#7 West Virginia up double digits on TCU late in the second half. #12 Florida State up by 10 over #21 Va Tech late in the first.

NC State plays UNC at 7pm. NCST now 12-3 (7-1 since they lost to us; average margin of victory of 22 ppg in their 7 wins).

UNC-NC State postponed until tomorrow at 1.

Another battle of former Illini head coaches ...OU vs KSU. Bubbles and the wildcats getting the better of Lon and the Sooners late in the first half.

Hope Maryland pulls through, hopefully no late run, Michigan getting a bunch of calls typical BS. (Sorry still mad about our total meltdown in Ann Arbor a few years back when Rice missed the shot to win and we lost in OT). I hate Michigan.

Wow, ridiculous comeback by Nevada at New Mexico. Came back from down 15 with about 2 minutes left (they were down 25 at one point in the second half) to force OT.

Nevada makes another mini comeback in OT to win it by 1. Down 5 with about a minute left, ended up hitting the game winning 3 with a few seconds left. Unreal game.
