A fair ranking, considering. Let's go slay some quad ones!!

Not that it means anything this early in the season, but I really enjoy seeing michigan tumble down the mountain.

There seems to be some semblance of thinking that went into the new ranking and not just knee jerk reaction.

To be fair, the people voting are a lot more fair than people give them credit for. I remember games last year people were quick to say "we're going to fall out of the top 25 for sure now". I'd imagine most voters don't watch one game and decide that. In the end, it's all subjective, but there is a level of thought.

We played a horrible game for the most part, and we didn't have our all-american beast. There is no way that is not a huge consideration.14th is appropriate.

It’s almost like…people knew we were missing our first team all American matchup nightmare.

It also helps Marquette had a really good week, till they ran into a very good and ranked St Bonaventure, making the loss (without Kofi) look understandable.
Yup. Brad’s comments regarding Curbelo’s non-participation in anything meaningful practice wise also shed a lot of light on their performance at Marquette. Turning the turd on its head:

we turned over the ball 26(!) times in a 40 min game

No Kofi

Rusty Belo

No Hutch

Shot 20 less free throws

Bo Borowski in attendance

And FREAKING LOST BY ONE

I think at this juncture I’m more encouraged than anything.

Playing poorly on our first road game of the season without a couple of key players and losing by only 1 to a team that is probably better than most people had predicted....now the key to this will be to learn from this, gain experience and come out and play well in KC this week

All true, but we still should have won.

IMHO, the Boilers and our Illini are the cream of the Big Ten this year. Michigan is overrated.

That being said, Kofi is back, Hutch should be back.......No more excuses. Time to gel and stomp some teams. That means you Squawks, CandyA$$ers, and Tiggers!

Agree. What has me most encouraged is after a really poor showing vs IUP, effort and defensive intensity have been quite good.

We are a much better shooting/passing team than we’ve shown. Confident we will find it with a little time and repetition. And of course having Kofi back helps.

Gonzaga doing Gonzaga things to poor Central Michigan.
I remember when our offense looked this potent. I'm gonna pour myself a double.

I was wrong..... Purdon't is at this point is head and shoulders above the rest of the Big Ten.

There is still hope, but we looked slow and showed no fight against Cincy. Time for BU and staff to earn their salary.
