Armando Bacot is one ugly dude.

Also, this is an entertaining match up between NC and Iowa State.

I like Leaky Black. Seems like an all around winning player.

(I'm sick and stuck in bed, so college basketball it is)

UNC isn’t even top 10 right now IMO. Wouldn’t be shocked to see them fall out of the rankings at some point this season.
IU East. They weren’t good all year, got hot and won a few games, returned everyone. So they’re ranked super high.

Both teams are decent, but I don’t think either are top ten.

NC looks a lot better than IU to me.

Caleb Love is an absolute bucket. Leaky Black is a great glue guy and Nance is a good multi-threat addition.

For those of you still awake and watching hoops, Purdue is appearing to be extremely BAD....and GOOD...against the Zags...either tonight or tomorrow night (it is midnight as I type). BAD....they opened the game against a hyper Zag group a bit tentatively and were letting the Zags run by them and hit shots and layups. GOOD....Painter got them calmed down with defensive effort which led to more opportunities and some other guys not named Edey hit a few shots and Voila....they now lead by 6 with about 12 min. to play. So, which Boiler team will show up next game? Who the heck knows but both these teams have vulnerabilities.

Now up 12. Great ball movement. Zags chucking shots. Love it!

Holy hell, that behind the head pass to Edey was just absolutely nuts.

At what point does Gonzaga get the big hit in the rankings they seem to have coming? They have that UK win but have been embarrassed by Texas and Purdue now. It also seems to me like UK is probably pretty overrated themselves. It seems like they both deserve to be ranked in the teens, not the top 10.

Meanwhile, Sisoko continues to be a turd.

Braden smith is legit. Getting big time curbelo vibes from him
Very much so. He is one to watch.
Great win for them, and Edey being able to go 31 minutes…wow!
The B1G is looking 💪 this year. (Boeheim can suck it).

Not to mention a 1 point win vs MSU, and the UK win was on Gonzaga’s home court. We’ll know who they are after Xavier Sunday and Baylor next Friday.

I‘ve never really respected Gonzaga‘s scheduling, and thought they should do a more challenging non-con especially since they avoid road games. They finally did it this year and are paying the price. They‘re still only playing 1 non-con road game (2 if you count Alabama), but have 7 P5 opponents and also Xavier.

Oh, and Zach Edey makes other large men (Kofi) look… well, not so large.

He made Timme look like:

Be careful or you may accidentally summon the board's Gonzaga police.

Some people are quick to point out that the WCC isn't as bad as it is popularly portrayed to be, but I'd argue it also tends to get a bump in the analytics due to the SoS generated by the fact that every team plays an overrated Gonzaga several times. It's a bit self-perpetuating given how few other teams they have the chance to play.

Even if WCC is better than cupcake status Gonzaga played 6 road games TOTAL all last season. They played 5 neutral site games, one of which was in Seattle. If they want to be considered this top program that has transcended mid-major status then imo they need to challenge themselves more, and that means playing in front of P5 home crowd student sections just the same as every P5 school does yearly.
