We are going to get a good look at the strength of the B1G today. 3 underdogs according to Torvik....

Wisconsin vs Dayton
Northwestern vs Auburn
Ohio St vs Texas Tech

The most intriguing out of those 3 is the Northwestern game IMO. They have already jumped from 96 to 66 on Torvik, but they haven't played anyone yet. Are they legit, or just taking care of easy competition?

God, for no other reason than I don’t want to have to watch this aesthetic on my TV … I hope we never play in Battle 4 Atlantis. For some reason, the lighting of the court and crowd gives me a headache, lol…

I'm surprised we haven't yet. I remember it being a thing that Groce didn't like the 3 game tournaments, but I've never heard that with Brad. It's always a good field and it's a short flight for a lot of fans.

What didn’t Groce like about the 3 game tournament structure? (just curious)

Watching my alma mater, the Arizona Wildcats, play Creighton in the Maui final, a question arose in my mind that I would like to pose to fellow Illini fans. (It may seem unusual to some, but when the Cats play the Illini on the hardwood, I will always pull rabidly for an Illini victory). Looking at Kylan Boswell's season stats and watching him play a bit, is there any freshman on the Illini roster would would trade to get him?

For me, I can answer that question in about half a second with a firm and categorical no. This frosh class in about as strong as any I have seen sine 1955 and Boswell, though highly ranked and coveted by the Illini staff and fans, does not measure up to any of them at this point........except that he would appear to be pretty dependable at shooting free throws which is no small consideration for a point guard. Not saying he is a bust in any way, but I really, really like the Illini freshmen, and I actually include DD in that group of 5.

But, in defense of Boswell, he will walk to class among the palm, olive, palo verde and eucalyptus trees in 70 degree temps and almost no wind. But, looking at the scenery in all directions may cause him some neck trauma.
