Minnesota is beating #25 Alabama 70-58 with 9 minutes left in the game. At least somebody in the Big Ten is winning games.

Maryland defeated New Mexico, 80-65.

Minnesota should be winning considering Alabama is down to three players.

Minnesota instigated a fight and the entire Alabama bench ran onto the court which earned them all an ejection, leaving only the five players on the court to play the last 13 minutes of the game. Of the five remaining one fouled out and another was knocked out with and injury.

Alabama with three players has cut a 14 point Minnesota lead to 5 and they have the ball. 2 minutes left.

Alabama cut it to three with ball, with 1:30 left. Unfortunate they missed a shot to cut it to 1, and Minnesota converted on and and 1 on the other end to put them up 6.

yah I wouldn't put too much into Alabama out scoring a team that was intentionally running the shot clock down playing pass around and only playing well enough to keep the win. They literally were just playing pass around as to not be complete dicks about the situation Alabama was in.

Thanks for that detail. Highlights on tv didn't show that, only that Alabama out scored Minnesota 30-22.

Makes sense min was being careful and not jerks. Then again, Alabama did cut it to two or three at one point :eek:

They were defending them 5-3 as well...were they letting Bama score even though they almost had 2 guys to every one of theirs? Just to be good sports? Bama still made some plays offensively to make it a game. Minny just played soft at the end.
