Watching Santa Clara vs BYU on TV now and the announcer is continually raving about Brandon Podzeimski who he says is the 19th
most efficient offensive player in college basketball. The scouts are there and he is shooting 50% from the 3 point line this year in conference play and 43% overall.

Scored 12 of Santa Clara's first 20 points. Illinois could really have used his shooting and even his rebounding this year.

Does anyone actually realize just how close we are to a possibility of a NW B1G Champion?

This is the actual last event prior to Armageddon in prophecy.
Northwestern has a very rough final stretch.
vs. IA
@IL
@MD
vs. PSU
@ RU

They may not even get a first round by in the BTT. If they do, it will likely be on tie-breakers.

Not really that close. Purdue is probably dropping 1 more max. NW could easily lose all or only get 1 win out of their remaining games.

That being said, I've been waiting for NW to implode all season now. They just keep winning.

Indiana and Maryland still have the best chance to catch Purdue IMO.

I know people says his D was questionable last year but the growth he has made this year would have really helped us. We cannot look back as things happen.

He was going to be a role player(similar to Melendez) so he wasn't going to be able to showcase his skillset like he is able to at Santa Clara. I'll still take Epps over him.

Agreed. He looked too slow for the Big 10. I’ve seen him on draft boards by analysts I respect, and maybe he continues to develop physically, but I’ll be shocked if he’s an NBA player. Watched them against Gonzaga this year and he couldn’t take his man off the dribble.

Good shooter and passer, and I’m glad he’s doing well, but I don’t think he’d be having this season for Illinois. Big fish, small pond

Ohio State has officially given up on this season. Their home game against MSU was awful, but they're just going through the motions tonight. They started off the season fairly well.....have no clue what happened there.

From a six-point lead to a 17-point deficit in a span of 8:05.
Fueled byy a technical foel and Zach Eddy being on the bench most of that time
One way to beat Purdue Is to play transition basktball sending Eddy to the bench for a blow,and break them down off the dribble
Maryland's intensity level and passing were quite impressive.

I watched the MD/PU game last night. While Edey was able to get 18/8/3 on 50% shooting (8/16) last night, it seemed that the MD big men (primarily Reese) we're able to frustrate his shot quite a bit by making sure their arms were straight up, making it difficult to for Edey to turn his shoulders and shoot. There were at least 4 or 5 times that he seemed to lose control of the ball on the way up due to his shoulders making contact with their outstretched arms, resulting in a badly missed shot. Couple that with 2/13 for 3 pt. shooting didn't do much to help PU's cause . . .

Of course, I could have been imagining all of this as I was on my second three finger pour of scotch . . .or was it my third . . .?

Or just get under Gillis’ skin. His flagrant/technical was the watershed moment in each of the last two games

The couple of games that I have seen Santa Clara play the level of competition looked nowhere near the Big10. Granted they weren't playing top tier teams in their conference. If Podz had stayed he he could have been a spot up 3pt shooter getting 12 to 15 minutes a game depending on his defense. He is not an NBA prospect in my opinion. Glad he is doing well though.
