2/14 Games

There was a 3 that Michigan hit after a last second shot in the shot clock rebound that I don't think should have happened. I believe it was still in the shooters hand when the buzzer sounded.

Dickinson has played with almost nobody challenging him in the post. Kofi will be a whole different beast if/when we get a shot. That dynamic will change things considerably for Michigan.
I am not scared of Michigan, I am more scared of OSU if I had to pick a team. They are a complete team. We just need to run the table and end all doubt

Listening to Rafferty gush about Wolverines makes we want to play them so badly....Dickinson inside was the key to their game. That dominance won't happen with Kofi.

That felt inevitable from about the 10-minute mark of the 2nd half. Hope we get that version of Wisky when we play there

On wisky version at Madison. I'd rather lead wire to wire than get out of a hole like Michigan. I think wiscy would have been better off attacking the press rather than milking clock

I think Dickinson one center in the league that can neutralize Kofi from the jump. He's just as big, maybe not a physical, but far more skilled. Wagner and Livers are extremely versatile, so they create a defensive problem and Brooks is the maestro. I don't want to throw TOO much love at them, but there's not a team in the country that is going to outman them player for player.

They outscored Wisconsin by 21 points from the time they went down 14(30 seconds to go in the first half).

We'll see what they do vs Ohio State in a week. If they handle their business there, to me, they're in the mix with Gonzaga and Baylor in the "us, then there's everyone else" group.

I think Kofi is physically stronger than Dickinson, but he's not as versatile, skilled or basketball savvy as him. There were a couple of offensive rebounds where the ball was up and in within the blink of an eye. He didn't bring it down, he didn't need to regather....quick score off a miss.

All that said, that's the first time that I've watched a full Michigan game. Maybe I just caught one where he was really good?

Too many offensive boards in the 2nd half for Michigan. Wisconsin is horrendous at rebounding.

I agree that Wi gave up many offensive rebounds. But they shot a horrible percentage. When we play Mi. Will Livers cover Ayo?

Ain't nobody neutralizing Kofi from the jump. And not from the bunny hop, the pole vault, or anything in between.

Ain't nobody neutralizing Kofi. Especially not no freshman. You suggesting that makes me feel like you might need Jesus.

Dickinson has some technical polish, some size, and a motor, but he's not nearly as physical as Kofi. Cockburn has been eating up quality Big Ten big men all year - guys like Trayce JD and Luka Garza who are more experienced and substantially more developed than the Wolverine freshman. And, if you haven't noticed, Kofi's gotten measurably better in terms of technical skill and imposing his will on the other team, as the season has progressed. In fact, establishing Kofi early on in order to wear Dickinson down and pin a few fouls on him is probably the move, as far as game plan goes.

Michigan is definitely good, but a lot of that game was about Wisconsin having a plodding, pre-modern *** offense run by a group of largely unathletic players - they struggle to create good shots against any team with decent athleticism and cohesion on defense. 90% of their players belong in the black and white television era - both in terms of the way they play and the way they look - and we made them look equally as bad as a result of the same factors.

It felt like Wisconsin was playing to keep their lead in the second half instead of trying to extend it. Michigan with only 6 fouls in the second half? Kind of crazy for a very physical team. Wisky sh*t the bed.

Wisky is very limited. We have proven they have issues shooting the three and they do not have the versatility they usually have. I do not see us losing to Wisky. We just need to handle business and win out

Only watched the second half, but Michigan looked pretty dang good to me. I didn’t go back to look, but I’m guessing that most people were feeling pretty good about the Illini after they were up 36-23 over Wisky at half. After knocking the rust off, UM out scored Wisky 40-20 in second half. And they did it on the road, while the Illini were at home. Michigan game gonna be tough.

Nebby beats Penn St. Happy for them and happy that we didn't end up being their first win in Big Ten play (though we narrowly escaped lol)
