Alright, this goes through the weekend but I needed to make crib sheets about who I want to win* the next several days in B1G play, as deemed most beneficial to the Illini:

*any comments about hoping for a win from anyone other than the Illini will inevitably be met with comments about “I’ll never root for such-and-such,” or “mis juevos son más grandes que los tuyos,” etc. Preemptive rebuttal: Yeah, yeah, yeah…heard it all before. Move along.

2/21: Indiana at MSU: pulling for Sparty. Would create even more of a logjam, but definitely want IU to join the 7 loss club

2/22: Minnesota at Maryland: man, that would be a sweet upset
-Iowa at Wisconsin: c’mon Bucky, defend your home

2/23: PSU at an OSU
-scUM at Rutgers: they are even in league play, as of today. Let’s keep Juwan out of the tourney!

2/25: Indiana at Purdon’t: If Illinois can’t win the B1G, let’s not let the Loosiers get it, at least.
-MSU at Iowa: Illinois wins the tiebreaker v. Sparty but not v. the McCaffreys
-Minnesota at Nebraska: the players’ moms might be interested, at least. Maybe.

2/26: Northwestern at Maryland: hoping for Maryland as of 2/21, depending on how things go this week that might change or something.
-Wisconsin at scUM
-Rutgers at PSU

Interesting to me that MSU is favored by 3.5. Sagarin has the game as a pickem with msu 53%. I would think IU would be a favorite here.

Indiana is playing like the second (first?) best team in the B1G. I think they end up the 2 seed.

Weird, ESPNU was playing game and switched to the Big East doc. Watching non ESPN now.

Thanks. Was bewildered as the Hulu guide still showed the game as being on ESPNU. Had it on recents so didn’t find until I went digging. Fun one so far.

Go Spartans for the 1st time in a decade I'm rooting for you Michigan state beat Indiana we need the hoosiers to lose a couple!

Sparty...with 8:24 to play...shooting 49% overall, 50% from the arc, 91% from the line, and out-rebounding the Hoosiers 28-16. Good so far for the Illini to sneak into the top 4 if they can beat the Wildcats on Thur. But that will be an epic battle.

For sure....but IU and any other B1G team will struggle when their opponent is shooting like that. Been a crazy year because it is completely unpredictable as to when that happens.

MSU’s backcourt has absolutely cooked Indiana tonight. Just getting to the rim at will all game. I think better-shooting Hoggard is a great comp for Epps.

I know we give Tom izzo of Michigan state a hard time but he has been a part of that program for literally 30 years. To see him sit on the bench and cry , breaks my heart. Love vs. Hate! I am a Spartan tonight!
