I guess the 7 top 10 teams that lost today are all falling apart. Time to rethink what they are doing and change up their game plans. The sky is falling, up is down and cats are sleeping with dogs. Just kidding! I've seen several people on here saying that some these teams had every thing going for them and they were the ones to beat and why can't we be more like them. Just goes to show no coach or team has the one right way to win games. This shows me that we are in the mix. We could not make it past the first weekend or be cutting down nets in New Orleans. With all the different players out at different times we still have yet to see what this team is really capable of.

Regarding Wisky, they wouldn’t be anything this year without Davis. But you play the hand you’re dealt and their hand is really good because they have played the “Davis” card many times this year.

He has either won them games or kept them in games just enough for them to win all these close calls.

If they win out and take the sole BT title, you tip your hat and move on. They aren’t a great team and I feel like we would beat them 9/10 times…but they have found a way to pull it off.

Having said all that I hope they lose the next 2.

If Kofi got the protection by the refs that Davis gets , he would be averaging 30 ppg and 15 rpg....................If Davis gets breathed on they call a foul......If Kofi gets hacked and hit on the head , the refs need to see blood or broken bones sticking out before they will call a foul......

I agree watching the end of the Rutgers game on the road, Davis clearly gets POY treatment - Kofi, not at all. It's a bit of an odd dymanic,. while Kofi is fouled (that are actually called) one of the most in the NCAA, there are so many that aren't called it might be officials just don't want to call a foul everytime down the court so they start letting things go and it spirals. Against OSU he got two early fouls called when he got down low, then the officials just didn't call anything for the last 10 minutes of the first half

I have wished many times this year that Brad would get on the refs more and the OSU game was clearly his boiling point

Agreed Pru.

I think other bigs like Edey and Williams also get hacked a lot but it’s called way more. Not all of them, but way more.

Just because a team/player knows how to flail when they are touched doesn’t mean it’s a foul. But if the refs aren’t good enough to decipher the difference, maybe Kofi should start over exaggerating every time he is hit.

I've been thinking about this a whole lot and think I have a solution to this hacking on Kofi problem ...

Have Kofi wear one of those arm sleeves on EACH arm and fill the insides up with baby powder so every time he gets hacked a big puff of powder flies everywhere...........Then we could see how often and hard he gets hacked ..........then if the inept B1G refs don't call it we will have video proof of the abuse Kofi has had to endure since he has been an Illini................

This right here is a really dumb reason to not do something. They need to call the foul everytime down the court, if there is a foul, so players understand that they are fouling and they need to adjust their habits and how they are defending Kofi. If they can not defend Kofi legally, then so be it. This crap about "we would call a foul everytime down" is a cop out. They have no idea if they would be after calling 4 or 5 in a row. Players adjust.

Just saw that tickets for Illinois at Michigan are available for as low as $8.00 as opposed to Ohio State at Maryland where they’re going for as low as $52…Hmmmmm

I was thinking something similar - something to mark the hacker - but this is better.

Kind of apples and oranges. If people were complaining about just one loss it'd be one thing. We've lost 3 of the last 5 and in the two we won had long stretches where we let the other team back into a game we had been controlling. I'm hopeful the end of the OSU game sparked something, but before that we were not playing well for several games.

I love Kofi, he is a program changer, but I have tried to watch Houston a few times this year and almost every team NCAA bound.

However, since Houston is on TV right now, flip it on for a few minutes. Their bags have AMAZING hands. Ive seen the PG THROW ROCKETS at him and no fumble, keeps it high, and scores.

Kofi had hands designed by a blacksmith upon arrival. They've gotten better at times, but he needs near perfect passes in traffic.the tennis ball juggling has surprisingly not helped that.

My point is, some really good bits out there with tremendous hands and skills.
