In this scenario, secondary tiebreaker is not H2H. It’s record vs. the team seeded below us. Will most likely be OSU but MSU has an outside chance.

OSU #4 –> Wisky #2
MSU #4 –> Illini #2

That is the dumbest way to do this. If they use the record between the teams, it would make sense to use H2H to determine the winner between the two teams. LOL. Only the B1G would do it this way.

/ get that they should use the record between the three but ionce you should eliminate a team, H2H should decide the other 2. If they split, then I agree, they should do it that way.

I guess the thinking is that the tiebreaker should only sorts teams for seeding. In other words, if there’s a 3 way tie for 1st, our results against Purdue are worth exactly the same as our results against Wisconsin, because both teams finished with the same record. If you then split Purdue out from the pack, why does our win over WI carry more weight than their win over (now “best team”) Purdue?

Assuming that’s the argument, I do think it has some merit, although I’d probably favor the H2H route because it makes more sense to the casual fan.
