2/28 Games

Really, I’m just sick of watching B10 basketball refs let the constant grabbing and shoving go. Every single play. Can’t fight thru a screen? Just grab the guy and hold on. Gets called maybe 1 out of 10 times. Out of position for a rebound? Put your forearm in the guys back and push as hard as you can.

I don't really mind as long as they're calling it consistently on both ends. The stuff that drives me nuts is when I see a "name" player get a couple calls, and on the next play it happens on the other end and.....crickets.

Technically Ohio State only lost twice this week, and one was to a top 10 team, so I don't see them falling too far. WVU won 2 games, sure, but it was like beating Nebraska twice, I don't see them jumping all the way to 5.

Our schedule has been nuts this year.

We’re currently sitting at 18 quad 1&2 games this year.

If we win at least one game of the B1G tourney, we’d be at 22 Quad 1&2 games.

For context:

Baylor has played 7 Q1&2 games so far.
Houston has played 8.
Villanova has played 11.

We’ve played more Q1 games (13) than those 3 teams have played Q1&2 games.
This right here is why we deserve a 1 seed if we win either game this week or get to the finals of the BIG tournament. In either of those scenarios we would have played 24 Q1/Q2 games out of our total 29 games or 83% of our total schedule. That is pretty much as tough as it gets. Getting a 1 seed for the NCAA tourney is critical I think in getting to the final 4. I think our best shot, and what would help us the most in the NCAA tourney, is to get the 1 seed via a deep run in the BIG tourney. Under that path we would be looking at a lot of Curbello this next week, that in my mind with Miller needing to step up is invaluable going into the real tournament?

And how about Gonzaga? I do not fear them at all tbh. They are good but so are we. We may have our flaws, but we have done what we have done flaws and all and we have responded to adversity, come from behind and taken a lot of punches, all the while we are seeing new players step up. Let's go!

Iowa and WVU will both be top six, in no particular order.

I'll have your same confidence if we win next 2. We have potential, but need more consistency.

It looks like Iowa winning today has literally clinched us the 2-seed in the BTT, no? I played around with the bracket generator, and we can't catch Michigan but also can't seem to be passed. Even if we lose out and Iowa wins out, they will tie us in the standings, and we will have the head-to-head. OSU only has one more game, and beating us wouldn't get them tied with us.

Unless I missed something ... that's awesome! And we would be playing at 5:30 pm on Friday 3/12!
Yep PU could tie us in the loss column but they would have one less win. And as others have pointed out, 2nd seed in the BTT just might be better than a 1 seed this year, so that's really big. Who says you can't win fer losing? LOL

No reason for Ayo to play in the next two games, IMO. Why risk aggravating his injury(s?) when we've already locked up a nice place to be?

And of the 7 that didn't lose, 4 (Gonzaga, SDSU, Loyola, and Houston) don't play in P6 conferences. Only Michigan, Arkansas, and WVU played in a P6 and didn't lose this week. Pretty crazy.

Not to say those 4 are bad, but it shows how much competition these conferences have.

They lost to MSU and Iowa this week, plus to Michigan last Sunday. They will drop.

How close is our Maryland loss to being quad 1 again.? I’m guessing their win today has to put it close.
