2/4 Games

Did I see Bruce Weber's team win against the No. 2 team in the country and we can't beat a reeling Minnesota team on our own home court in front of a sellout crowd? Am I in a bizzaro world? What is happening here??

Weber is a very good coach with a good scheme on offense and defense. Whenever he happens to have solid talent mixed with some vets in his system, he's dangerous.

No reason to be surprised by that, right? We don't want him back, but I'll always respect his ability to coach.

There is no doubt he can coach. I'd be pretty nervous if I was Kansas going to Manhatten tomorrow.

Always knew when Illinois fired Weber (and yes, it needed to happen) that he would have more success wherever he went than the Illini would with their new coach. Weber has always been a great X and O guy. Just never thought the gap would be this cavernous.

After my son's games on Saturday I actually checked the score of KState/Baylor before even remembering that we were playing. Sad state of affairs. I used to plan my whole day or evening around our games (not saying that was necessarily a good thing). Now an afterthought.

Weber's KSU teams have gotten progressively worse as he has been there. They are a middle of the pack Big 12 team at best just like we were a middle of pack Big 10 team at best under him. We were looking for better and unfortunately, Thomas could not find it, hopefully, Whitman can.
