Saw something from Ked Prince that Keegan Murray had only one D1 offer from Western Illinois. In what universe is that possible? Did he not play AAU or played on some elite HS team and didn't get on the floor?

He's too long and athletic to go unnoticed that much.

His dad went to Iowa in the 90s. I am not sure what impact that had on his recruitment.

His twin brother Kris is also a freshman on the team.

Yea of course Iowa had the in with him but I'm shocked that he didn't get more looks. As Dakich says, "who ranks the rankers"..

Drake, one of 3 remaining undefeated teams (you know the other 2) trailing Valpo 36-24 at the half today

Drake falls by 17 to a not good Valpo team, for now a Q3 loss. They have played (and won) 4 Q2 games (2 at Indiana State, 2 at Missouri State), but could not make it to next weekend's clash with Loyola with the undefeated record intact, which takes a bit of shine off the matchup.

Iowa has lost 4 out of 5 - with the 5th a close game against abysmal MSU. Is Frederick that important??
I have a different theory. Under Fran, the Hawkeyes usually start well, but fade toward the end of the season. With the virus, this season could end at any time, so the Frannies are getting their losses in early.

Lol! Another great post-game interview by Franny! Your kid throws a length of the court pass off the backboard and you blame it on the jumbo tron! Stay classy Fran!

Any one see Villanova -Georgetown Sunday afternoon? Being in a bracket with Villanova would not be my first choice.
They are similar to Iowa but atheletic. They also do not have a Garza. I believe Kofi could have a monster game against them.

He reclassified from 2021 to 2020. Looks like he should have waited the year - he is not ready for BIG basketball. His body is immature even if his skills are 4 or 5 star.
Disagree. It's a free year for him eligibility wise. He gets to face better competition both in games and in practice while having access to better weight training and nutrition. Especially with how different high school basketball -- and high school generally -- is this year (though maybe not so much in Indiana?), it seems like a no brainer to me. It hurts to say this, but same goes for Mac Etienne reclassing at the winter break. He just got in his first game for UCLA last night.
