Joel Goodson
- respect my decision™
As good a time as any to start the new thread. Congrats to the Pens for winning the hardest title in team sports. No way will they repeat.
We have some limited information about the possible upcoming expansion draft.

It seems there is a deadline of June 22nd to decide on league expansion.
Don't look for much off season roster changing to occur prior to this being decided.
They can have their pick from Hossa, Bickell, Svedburg, and Desjardins.
I know this is completely in jest, but it bugs me to no end that some delusional fans think the Blackhawks are going to assuage, if not solve, their perpetual cap problem via the Expansion Draft.
Hawks are going to lose Pokka. Frigging sucks.
My question is, does Hossa have a no trade?
I really hope not.
From my link....
"* There is an “experience criteria” for the draft. “A minimum of two forwards and one defenseman must be exposed who have played 40 games the previous season, or a total of 70 over the previous two,” writes Johnston. In addition, those players must be under contract for the team’s first season."
Unless the games played can be AFL games?
I thought the league was going to expand with two teams. Obviously Las Vegas will be in the Western Conference but that makes 15 teams in the West and 16 in the East, doesn't that wreak havoc on scheduling?
Bad trade, IMO, unless they do something with that freed up money to make the team better because by trading TT, they made it worse.
5 million in cap space, a 2nd round pick and a third round pick or you get to keep Teuvo? I don't see how this anything but a great move for the Hawks. Teuvo is very replaceable.
Last season's TT? Yes. But he's improving.
That's debatable. He is very soft, doesn't do the "dirty work" that Q likes and he disappeared quite a bit at the end of the season / playoffs.
That said, if he was "very soft," why did Q have him PK-ing?
